Chocolate Pumpkin Cake

I took a break from cupcakes this Halloween and

made a cake... crazy, right?

It's a Chocolate Pumpkin Cake via the Birthday Girl (super cute blog!).

It was VERY tasty! The cinnamon frosting with the sweet cake and

bittersweet glaze was fantastic.

The fun cake topper is made from scraps of fabric

tied to bakers twine (love The Twinery),

then tied to straws that were placed over skewers.

I love it.

Pretty Pumpkins

i use to have more time to be creative and crafty, but when i found this idea i MADE time to be crafty :) i think it turned out pretty cute...

it's nothing super amazing, but i liked it. just thought i'd share :)

caramel apples

so, things have been kind of crazy at the daycare i am working at, so i decided to make the girls i work with a special treat. Kate came over to hang out and help and make the yummy caramel apples. here's how we made them...

cleaned the apples and put a stick in them 

after heating up the caramel, dip the apples in!

kate likes to paint the caramel on 

chill for an hour

we used the extra caramel to make caramel popcorn

ta-da!

wrapped and ready to be delivered!
