Green Eggs & Ham

Here's a SIMPLE idea to celebrate Dr. Seuss and his birthday! 

A "green eggs and ham" TREAT!

Simple white candy melts with green m&m's over 2 half pretzel sticks. 

 I realize the "ham" isn't green.... YOU could dip them in green candy melts!

Problem solved.  

 No "ham" option.

Green Eggs and Ham is one of my favorite books from my childhood!

MT Spring

Spring in Montana is a funny thing. 

Funny and wonderful. 

Wonderful and frustrating. 

Basically, it's bipolar.

Warm/sunny one day and cold/snowing/raining the next.

My table symbolizes Spring in MT. 

Mason jars filled with flowers (warm) and 

mason jars filled with epson salt looking like snow (cold).

I like the flowers.

Just sayin.

Confession- Straws

I have a confession to make....

I am obsessed with straws

(ok, maybe not obsessed... but I really, REALLY, really like them). 

Here is a pic of my current straw collection.

 So many pretty straws. 

My FAVORITES are my paper straws from Garnish. 

The newest addition to the straw family.

 

The thing with straws is you can find them in so many different colors, 

they are inexpensive, fun and

they make a great addition to any party...

or any drink for that matter! 

Well, I feel better now that I confessed about my straw obsession.

the past

Although this is a new blog, I imported some past blogs that I thought fit in here very nicely.

I'm excited to see what unfolds in this new place of creativity and inspiration!

Speaking of the past, this picture was the beginning of me documenting my cupcakes.

It was for Alivia's 1st birthday and the picture was so pretty Levi said I should make a cupcake book and the rest, as they say, is history! Well... sort of. I haven't made a cookbook, but I do have a book of of pictures of my cupcakes... kind of the same thing.... right?!?!

2 worlds collide

yesterday at work (the daycare) one of the pastors saw my computer and said, "once you go Mac, you never go back" and my response was, "yeppers". now that i have a Mac i love it and i will never go back. something else i love is cupcakes. i love baking them, making them look cute, taking pictures of them, and maybe someday making a fun book. today i saw a commercial where these two loves collide. enjoy...
